Yet another beautiful Saturday build day!
The front steps got their railings today, a bunch of flooring was installed on the second floor, some painting was done, the walkway joints were sanded, and more!

Good progress today to kick off July! Painting, interior trim work, continued installation of one set of kitchen cabinets, and delivery of the other.

Lots of good progress was made in June.
Outside, the brick walkway was installed. Gutters and rain collection barrels, too.
Inside, lots and lots of drywall sanding and painting. And interior trim and door jambs and windows. Beautiful stair treads. And even a start on installing kitchen cabinets!
Apologies for the slight “summer vacation” hiatus of the Construction Blog these past few weeks.

Another beautiful build day, and yet more progress.
Volunteers from Seagate and WPI were on site, and more drywalling (sanding and more mud) and exterior painting was done.
Work also began on the walkways — stone dust was placed and packed down, and the first few bricks were laid!

Another great Saturday Build Day, with drywall sanding and mud, plus work on a second coat of exterior paint, installing some interior window jamb extensions (part of the interior wooden window trim) and more….

Another nice Saturday build day…. Drywall seam taping and mud started today!
The walls and ceilings are starting to look like real walls and ceilings now.
Plus several other projects: building the platform for the stairs outside the remaining door (Meg’s side), squeezing in some drywall on the firewall (drywall is almost done!) and more….

On Sunday, May 3, Habitat for Humanity - MetroWest / Greater Worcester hosted a Women Build event involving local women working together on a day dedicated to “women helping women.”
A great time was had by all, on a very special day and event.
