Siding continues on a cold but sunny day.
Also, the electricians and the plumbers show up — wiring starts on the second floor of both units, and plumbing of one of the second floor bathrooms starts. A crowded work site today!

Siding going up...
A sunny Saturday for some siding. Yes, siding started today! Very exciting to see the hardyboard clapboards start to go on the house — actually looking even more like a real house now! Siding started on the back wall, and got to the level of the first floor windows. Some siding also started on the Pratts Mill side of the house.
Today was the second day of shingling for the roof, with more good progress made on the front half of the roof.
Additional framing details continued on the second floor interior walls, and various other tasks.

A great crew today for a Wednesday; lots of progress!
Roofing started — shingles are now on part of the front half of the roof! A crew on the roof was assisted by lots of carrying of shingles up to them (shingles are heavy!)
The drywall also arrived today via a huge delivery from a huge flatbed truck. We offloaded by hand something like 396 pieces of drywall — drywall is heavy too! Check out the photos to see the impressive truck parking job between the trees.
Today also saw another door installed on the first floor (only remaining door is now one of the basement doors), plus lock sets installed on all doors. And, some much nicer (but still temporary) steps leading up to each of the side doors — getting into the house will now be *much* easier! Additional trim was installed outside, and more….

A nice sunny day, not as cold (maybe 40?) and some good progress: more second floor interior wall framing, exterior trim installation, one of the basement doors installed, some roof drip edge….

Today saw windows finished on the second floor, and one side door installed — the house is almost entirely enclosed (NOW we’re ready for the snow and cold!)
Also today: framing of a lot of walls on the second floor of the 2-bedroom unit, firewall framing finished, jacking up of a beam, and more….
