Windows! Today saw windows installed on the first floor. And a front door!
Plus lots of other activities, such as the final pieces of exterior insulation and additional interior walls on the second floor.

A snow storm forcast for the day caused the Wednesday build day to be cancelled.

A special Sunday build day!
A great crew from Congregation Or Atid helped get exterior insulation panels almost completed.

Great progress today with a big crew from St. Anslem plus others.
Lots of work done to put up the rigid foam insulation panels on the exterior of the walls — almost all the house is covered now (just some parts remaining on the front wall).
Also, flashing around the foundation was finished, and work continued (almost finished?) on fascia, soffits, the second floor fire wall, wall blocking, and more.

More (!) soffit and fascia work (those are some tall ladders!)
Exterior rigid foam insulation was delivered this morning, and installation of it started after first installing metal flashing around base of exterior walls.

“Wicked cold” temperatures scheduled for Saturday (Jan 17) cancel the build day.

Despite a cold day, some good progress: sheet rocking the center of the firewall on the second floor, more soffit installation, some additional floor joists, plus delivery (and transport to the second floor!) of the two showers.

Future homeowners Michelle and Meg joined the build today! They jumped right into the build, swinging hammers to help build walls and other tasks. It was great to have them on the team, and we look forward to working with them through the remainder of the project!
A big crew with lots of work done today: framing interior walls on the second floor and elsewhere, plus various other tasks such as installing blocking in the walls, some exterior soffit installation under the eaves, jacking up the floor and more.
